Morning Wasted
I got up today telling myself that I don’t have much time to study before heading down to Singapore and I’ve got to start reading my books today, especially Econs since I have not touched a page of it yet.
But I got up not in ‘the mood’ to study. And sure enough, after eating my breakfast, I turned on my laptop and had been surfing around reading blogs ever since.
As I read blogs after blogs, I realised that many (or most) of them are monetizing their blogs. Among the Malaysian blogs, most of them are running Nuffnang or [tag]Advertlets[/tag] ads…
And then I hopped on to [tag]Nuffnang[/tag]’s website. They are growing so fast that they are hiring new staff…I liked the pixs advertising for new staff…I went on to read Nuffnang’s history and somehow found their founder’s blog - Timothy’s.
Reading success stories just makes me feel like I haven’t achieved anything in life yet. I wanna write my own big success story but so far there’s still nothing to write.
I wanna earn my own money. Honestly, I’m sick of studying. Feel like working, but then people say working life is much harder, stressful and not fun at all as compared with studying. Well, who won’t blame them? Fresh graduates earn only like RM2000 per month? Feels like very little. I’d been thinking of ways of earning much more cash than that. And if any of my ideas ever worked, I don’t even need to start hunting for jobs once I’m done with university.
‘[tag]Eat and Sleep[/tag]’ brand? Damn it….I still haven’t finish writing the business plan that I started out to do a few days back…

The thing is, people look for jobs AFTER they leave university. A lot of people don’t realize it starts way earlier than that.
Accomplishing dreams isn’t about finding the motherlode overnight. It’s about moving your pieces one moment at a time. It takes a while to get there, but you know you’re actually going to be there at the end of it.
yup true true…many ppl look for jobs after leaving uni only to realise there arent many jobs out there…
the best thing is that you have good enough calibre to make companies hire you before you graduate. =) that is what that makes you different from the rest.
surely u dun mean me but ppl in general? anyway, yea if u r good enuff, (n more importantly the companies noe u), u get hired to do part-time first b4 graduating n full time after graduation, that’s even better…
gosh…if i can start up own internet company like the youtube guys won’t it be nice
then i dun even need to finish uni… =)
i dont know bout the whole after unversity life u wrote about…but we have one thing in common….we both wake up in the morning with the “study mode”….n we both end up doing some other things…haha…
this makes me scepticle over my future…i dont know whether i’ll even enter the university…haha…
There are a lot of jobs out there. It’s just that people don’t realize that they have to start from the ground up which means start at a time when they don’t really have to use the pay to support themselves.
At this point, I take up a lot of part time jobs (like waitering and lab demonstrating). It’s enough to pay the rent and save for luxuries but not enough to fully support myself. Then again, I’m still in Uni. The thing is, all this no matter how menial it is amounts to filling up my resume. At the end of it, when I get out. I don’t really have to start from the ground up. My resume speaks for itself.
nesh>> chill bro…at least we have something similar….doing something else instead of studyin…lol
edrei>> wow….u are really far-sighted….then why aren’t u into some internet biz also?
