Yo! Exams are over! I’m so happy. I can’t stop stressing that fact. Yay! The only thing I’ve gotta do now is just prepare for Project Work….
And my family came down for the Raya holidays! Feeling great n happy meeting my family!
Anyway, last Wednesday and Thursday, the whole JC1 cohort of my college went down for some [tag]character development programme[/tag] at [tag]east coast park[/tag] to build [tag]sandcastles[/tag]….it’s great stuff….imagine the whole cohort of around 800++ students building sandcastles as a school…Great stuff going on….The whole cohort was divided into 4 batches. 2 batches each day for 2 days. My class -23/07 was slotted for Wednesday morning and though it was morning till noon, the weather was Soooooo hot that all my classmates got sun burn the next day….
Here’s pixs from the sandcastle building activity

Hey, two days back on Thursday after an early dismissal from school I went down to the t-shirt vendor….I placed order for the following T-shirts….I chose Design 4….The reason is because after asking several guys in my hostel, they kinda prefer Design 4….

So, I’ve placed order for 20 pieces of the above design….The t-shirt colour is maroon with white printing. Also I’ve placed order for the I’m a Mugger/You Slacker t-shirt. Same maroon t-shirt and same white fonts - 20 pieces.
Total 40 pieces t-shirt….Kinda expensive by Malaysia’s standard but quite ok in Singapore’s term…Well, I’m gonna start selling the t-shirts next week when it comes…..
I really pray that it will look nice so I can sell it like hot cakes and have a reorder……I need the extra cash that comes with selling t-shirts…..

Hey my dear blog readers…..Do help me out with a tiny lil comment on which design you think is the best….I’m gonna produce t-shirts to be sold in Singapore with the following tag-lines….Malaysians, you might not understand this coz it’s mostly a Singaporean thing…Mugger here means a person who studies a lot/all the time…..N btw, the JC (junior college) that i go to - Anderson JC is widely known in Singapore as a mugger JC….
So I figure out there’s some market demand here for the following print tees here in Singapore…..I’m trying to poke fun of this tagline. I’ve like 7 designs here….Am just playing around with the fonts and colour combinations….Do tell me which suits the t-shirts better….Just tell whether u prefer Design 1, 2 etc…..Or if you prefer a combination of any design, say you like the font on Design 3 but the green colour of Design 2 and the font of Design 6, do say so….
I’m planning to make either a green t-shirt or a maroon one…Any other suggestions? Thank you

Farking Promos are over!!!! I’m so GLAD! I’m so GLAD!! I’m so GLADDD!!! No need to memorise some stupid shit stuff that I learn in some stupid garbage paper anymore at least for the next 2 to 3 months!!!! Yes! And I can finally update this blog!
Anyway, 1 week before our [tag]Promos[/tag], my hostel had this thanksgiving dinner to celebrate the good time that we boarders have had staying in [tag]Oldham Hall[/tag]….
I had lotsa great time and count myself really lucky that my exams are not the following day unlike some other JC students like those from RJC, IJC, NYJC….Pity them….Can’t really enjoy themselves on a fun day….Anyway, we took a lot of photos…Here are some of them….

He’s a real smart ass….Scoring 90over for most papers here in Singapore! Even AJ’s killer Maths paper he can score over 90++ without moderation! WTH?

The picture speaks louder than any description that I’m gonna make….Oh anyway, most of them are from China…

Gaurav, (if you are ever reading this)….It’s been nice being roommates for you this year….At least you don’t mug that hard except during exam period….Didn’t scare the hell out of me….But you are one smart fellow….

Ppl….I’ve lotsa Indonesian gals to interact with here! Are you jealous?

My tablemates on Thanksgiving Dinner….Some are my roommates in the 6 bedder room or boarders from neighbouring rooms…

And finally, saving the best for the last! The last toilet group shot!!!! This is our toilet! Underwear Galore! Mwahahhahahaha……..

Exactly 2 more weeks to my Promotional Exam (aka Year End exam)…Exactly 2 more weeks to determining my fate in Singapore. Just in case you don’t know yet, I’m under [tag]ASEAN Scholarship[/tag] to study my A-level here in Anderson Junior College, Singapore. And for my scholarship to be renewed at the end of the year, I’ll have to score an average of Cs in all my subjects that I’m currently taking, namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics and General Paper.
It’s hard core studying here man….I, who don’t really have the habit of studying hard core also have to pick up this skill. Still learning to sit through hours of studying non-stop…..
So this will be an announcement that blog update and blog visits will be more infrequent in the coming 3 weeks till after my exams. I need to score some As and Bs and no lower than Cs else I’ll be in trouble…So which me luck in this coming exam….
Btw, I also have to spend less time on the net coz the internet in my room has been terminated by one of the other boarders….So I now have to use the hostel’s internet which is tedious…
Anyway, here’s some pixs to share with you on my not-so-recent trip to [tag]Biopolis[/tag] for a briefing on the A*Star Local Research Attachment that I’ll be involved at the year end….And that also means, I’ll be spending most of my year-end holidays in Singapore…Pathetic? Probably….

Students' Council
Finally it’s over. I can finally breath some fresh air after [tag]Teachers’ Day[/tag] celebration. I thought organising Teachers’ Day is easy, considering the fact that I’ve done it before in Malaysia while I was Assistant Head Prefect 2 years back. Besides the event is just a few hours event….Some small scale event by my standard…But how wrong can I be…
In Malaysian schools, there’s no such thing as writing proposal for events. It’s just meetings to discuss what to do and then execute. Here, we have to discuss with our committee members, put those thoughts into paper, gain teachers’ approval before executing the plan. We did 3 proposals and at the end of 3 drafts we were just plain tired. Time was not on our side and we had to rush through almost everything.
Things are not as smooth flowing as it was supposed to be. In Malaysia I had many students eager to perform on Teachers’ Day. Too many till we had to cut out many performances, but over here, it’s hard to get students to perform. We approached the CCA groups a little too late and they couldn’t help us out cause they got themselves involved in some other service learning concert a few days earlier and they did not want to tax their members.
Anyway, on the concert itself we managed to secure a talented students dance group and a performance by the English teachers helped save the day. And not to mention, the great response we had from playing Charades in a big crowd. I’m simply amazed that the crowd responded well.
Although there are many glitches here and there, I’m really happy that everyone laughed, cheered and clapped during our event. It shows that the students are having a good time and it means that we are doing something right.
Too bad I couldn’t get any photos of the event in the school hall. Was too busy running around sorting things out….Anyway, for teachers’ gifts, just like what I’ve done in Malaysia 2 years back, I gave the idea that we should give the teachers a mug as their teachers’ day gift. This is the one part that I enjoyed the most. Searching for supplier on the internet, calling supplier, designing the mug, going down to the supplier’s office…..
This is my final design….

Anyway, this was supposed the design that was supposed to be printed on the mugs…I think students in Singapore will understand the joke, but Malaysians might not be able to get it….It’s down to the fact that my JC, AJC is very widely known as a [tag]mugger school[/tag]

Again I’m back late from school. 9 pm I left school. What the flower….
Had rehearsal for Teachers’ Day. I am in the planning committee under Students’ Council….Weird thing Singapore celebrate Teachers’ Day so late…I remembered Malaysia we used to celebrate around 16 May….
A few more days of hard work then no more Teachers’ Day work. The event is on this Monday, 27th August. After that, one more week of school then it’s ah-lee-loo-ya!!! It’s holiday time!
And I’m seriously looking forward to coming back home! Can’t wait to watch Astro again. And meet up with all my friends back in Malaysia. And the most important part of all. Run away from the stress & hustle n bustle of Singapore’s life…
But my final year promos exams are coming up. I must get an average of C grades for all subjects to stay here. Else MOE will send me home….N btw to my Malaysian secondary school readers, u think getting C very easy in Singapore ah? Must struggle n study a lot to get C ok…Most people fail k…. in Malaysia, getting A is kinda easy….It’s like a must to get A else real lousy…Here A really got value….
