Trip to Medan (Part 3)
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009Here’s the final instalment of my trip to Medan….Let’s go for more holidays….Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta…anyone?

I found vandalism in Medan...Nice one sumore..Cool rite?

Damn prankster...Spoil the street art

When I was in Medan, it was about 60 days to elections. The whole streets and all were filled with politicians banners and all....This caught my attention. Guess the tagline is a little small - Berjuang Melawan Penjajah Belanda....WTH? Why still adopt this tagline? The Dutch had been out of Indonesia for decades!!!

-Nothing to say-

Me at the Batak restaurant....The Batak food menu was surprisingly full of babi!!! Babi panggang, Sup babi etc...I'm seriously surprised...The Bataks are mostly Christians that's why

This looks damn gay, but nvm...We were all so gay in Medan...lol

Nelson taking a photo of Paul (look below)

Paul being photographed by Nelson without him realising...haha at the same time, I took at photo of Nelson without him realising (above) lol

Our group shot again...hahaha

Our 2nd last photo during our last meal in Medan. I guess by now you know each of us by name already since we appear so often in all the photos. The only exception is the girl in yellow, she's Susanty. And too bad we did not have any photos of Josephine. She did not join us on our last outing.

Our last photo in Polonia International Airport, Medan. Damn the airport people in Indonesia, gotta pay an extra 75 000 rupiah (~RM20+) for taxes. WTH. Apparently everyone has to pay and my Indonesian friends just asked us to pay coz they themselves gotta pay.
So that was it people. My 6 days break in Medan. I missed all you epeople. You guys had been a great host to Nelson and I. Thank you very much. I will miss the Teh Sosro, the Bahasa Indonesia - listening to theĀ bisa, enggak, bangat, nelpon, gua, lu etc and also the Hokkien mixed Indo language…haha
What a great timing actually. Most of the girls actually left Medan for Singapore the morning after Nelson and I left for Singapore. If we had gone 1 week later, the trip would never have been this fun. So see ya all soon in Singapore! Cheers!
