IT’S FINALLY OVER

After 2 years, A-levels is finally over. Damn it. Singapore system is really tough. 2 years of struggle. 2 years of sacrifices. Hopefully it all pays out well.

Anyway, it’s such an irony that time is never enough, even after the big exams. It seems now that there is too much things to do but too little time. Too much things to play and enjoy but limited time….Guess the scarcity concept we learn in Econs is applicable everywhere.

For me, it’s not just simply play and play after As. There are several things I need to sort out and there are deadlines to meet. Here’s my to-do list post As.

1. Complete Berkeley Applications (deadline: Nov 30)
2. Complete Resume (ASAP)
3. Complete SAT1 revision (deadline: Dec 6)
4. Complete other Ivys Application (deadline: ~Dec 31)
Pretty hectic right? Non-stop work….But at least A-levels is over. Now I have all the time to do readings on my topic of interests.

Now I shall have more time to update this blog. I am planning to put in place a new theme. And start writing on pertinent social issues.

  • Uni Stress

This is ridiculous. I’m left with 2 weeks to A-levels but I am busy preparing for my university admission. I’m freaked out over US uni admission. I hate this distraction. I’m supposed to study, but I’m too distracted to concentrate on my studies.

This is stupid. This is ridiculous. Others are studying so hard but I’m no where near full steam yet.
A-Levels timetable is not very favourable. It’s gonna be tough on certain days with 2 papers in the morning and afternoon.

I need to concentrate on my studies. I scrapped my plan to rush through an Early Decision application with deadline Nov 1. I’ll apply all Regular Decision. I’m not going to sacrifice my A-Levels for this. There is too much at stake to falter now.

I found a really comprehensive guide to US college admission written by a fellow Malaysian yesterday. She gained admission into so many unis it made me envious of her. Read it here if you are interested.

I hate to say I’m stressed. But why on earth do I get crazy over uni applications when I should have been busy with studies?!?!?! I have not completed much studies in the past few days. This is bad. 2 Weeks. Can’t slack anymore.

    *Shall attempt to study now*

  • Study Break

    3 weeks to prepare.

    5 A-level subjects.
    5 As to obtain.
2 essays to write for a university application.
1 chance to gain admission into an Ivy.
    1 university interview.
    1 university entrance test.
    1 shot at being selected.

    0 margin of error.
    0 chance of motivation loss.
    0 time to continue slacking.

    0 chance for stress bullshitting.

Tomorrow’s the last official schooling day. Now I don’t need to go to school any longer. I can finally concentrate on studies full time. No more stupid excuses to myself about being tired after school etc. Now I can get up 8am everyday. It’s a simple 3 sessions study session everyday. Morning, afternoon, night. No holds barred. No nonsense approach. Come follow me. It’s gonna bear fruits. Everything’s gonna be covered. 21 days. More than enough time.

  • Mug.Study

I will not write Elasticity essay again.
    No Way. No Way.
I will try my best to focus on market structure to write that essay.

A-levels is in 30 days. 4 weeks to go.
Someone please drill this fact into my head.
    Study. Study. Study.

No more slacking. After this weekend. No more distraction. Full time studying.
1 more week of schooling left.
1 more week to clarify stuff with teachers.
    Study. Study. Study.

Drill this fact. 30 days to go.
Oh btw, Patrick…..Stop trying to mug/study on ur PSP. Get a life. PSP is for u to play. Not MUG!
N also, if you are very free….go read up on these political theories - conservatism, liberalism, neoconservatism, neoliberalism, social liberalism, economic liberalism…..haha…..bet ur head will go spinning around after all those concepts.
Some are pretty daunting. But if given time, it should be understandable. After A-levels. I’ll have all the time to read up.

Everyone’s becoming very hardworking. It’s about time. 2 more days. I’ll start my A-level studying…..
